TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION
At the heart of Domani lies a dedication to true craftsmanship. Their production facility in Hungary is home to skilled artisans who oversee each stage of creation, ensuring that every piece carries the quiet precision, patience, and care passed down through generations.
Terracotta, one of the oldest materials used in pottery, is central to Domani’s work. The company uses a kaolin-based clay, fired at high temperatures to create a dense, frost-proof material with minimal water absorption. This process ensures that their terracotta pieces are both durable and weather-resistant, while retaining consistent color and finish over time—even when exposed to the elements year-round.
Equally important is zinc, a "living" material that changes with its surroundings. Domani uses titanium zinc soldered with a silver compound to enhance durability and resistance to corrosion. As zinc oxidizes naturally, it develops a unique patina that adds character and charm, giving each piece a distinct identity as it ages. Its self-healing properties, sustainability, and structural flexibility make zinc a material that perfectly aligns with Domani’s values: longevity, beauty, and environmental responsibility.
