MEET THE DESIGNER

Pietro Russo began his artistic journey with training in painting and ceramics before enrolling at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, where he specialized in scenography. His approach to design emerged as a research-driven exploration of existing scenic environments, eventually expanding into the realms of interior and product design.In 1997, Russo moved to Berlin, where he worked in film set and interior design while collaborating with various galleries to exhibit limited-edition objects. By 2001, he relocated to Milan and began a long-standing partnership with Lissoni Associati, contributing to product and interior design projects for renowned brands such as Alessi, Cappellini, Benetton, Kartell, Tecno Spa, and Kerakoll Design Gallery.In 2010, Russo established his own studio, focusing on interior and product design infused with his passion for scenographic spaces and a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship. His work is distinguished by its ability to create unique objects that respond to the character and story of each space. By observing artisans at work, Russo draws from timeless craft traditions and reinterprets them through his distinct design language.
